About us

Digital Academi is an online academy for Digital Marketing. We are making learning and teaching accountable by re-thinking our approach to “getting a job and starting with a career.”

Built with a belief that “Digital Marketing” education is best delivered by “learning and doing what matters”, we are committed to fulfilling our goal to make students job-ready. Our immersive programs are designed to be experiential and relevant to current market requirements, delivered live by subject matter experts and inspiring industry professionals and leaders.

Digital Academi has devised a charter that provides guidance to all our business partners regarding our Internship Program. We work with a range of companies: large and small, for-profit and not- for profit, domestic and overseas. This enables us to provide our students with opportunities to work, solve, and learn from a diverse set of business problems and challenges.

The team of instructors

Aditi Kumar

Aditi Kumar is an award-winning Digital UI /UX designer with over 20 years of experience across clients in the USA, India, and Australia. Her hands-on human-centered design approach combined with her ability to visualize the big picture has enabled her to successfully develop and implement creative digital design solutions for a variety of clients, in sectors as diverse as FMCG, Finance, Education, Hospitality, and eCommerce.

Aditi has held various coveted roles throughout her digital career, starting with her earlier role in India as Assistant Vice President ( creative) with WebChutney to her current role as Experience Design Lead at AGL Energy Ltd, Melbourne, Australia.

She has developed and designed digital campaigns and creative for the likes of American Express, Max New York Life Insurance, Nike, Pepsi Foods – Mountian Dew, Lays Chips, 7up , Playgro (Australia), RMIT University and many more.

Besides her design credentials, she also has ( just about :), one credit short) a Masters in Marketing from Swinburne University, Melbourne, Australia.

Amit Kumar

Amit Kumar is the founder of Digital Academi with a mission to improve upon the existing education system by making it more efficient and accountable with regards to learning and student employability.  Amit is a result-oriented professional with over 20 years of proven experience in leading data-led digital marketing strategies to drive successful outcomes, for a range of clients, in markets as diverse as the USA, India, and Australia.

Over the years he has worked with the likes of General Motors USA, Microsoft India and serviced a large number of SMEs and digital agencies, building their digital marketing strategy and strengthening their digital measurement and analytics offerings. In addition, he has also been an entrepreneur, having bootstrapped an online travel and tours company to profitability, before exiting and moving to Australia.

Anshul Punhani

Anshul Punhani has been a global marketer for the last 22 years with top tier global brands such as Microsoft Inc., Samsung SW Asia, Monster APAC & Middle East, Sony India, Videocon Mobiles, UPS – DHL, and J Walter Thompson. Today he is a business story coach & chief story facilitator in the corporate world, working with CXOs across corporates, startups, and universities.

He is the co-founder of StoryKnack™, a brand unit of Stories & Narratives, which is a consulting & coaching firm providing workshops to businesses and academia (schools, colleges, universities) facilitating the knack of storytelling. He is also a consultant with Stanford SEED for India and Africa.

Darian Rodriguez Heyman

Darian Rodriguez Heyman is an inspiring, dynamic visionary whose life’s work is “helping people help,” or supporting and connecting nonprofit, philanthropy, mission-led business, impact investing, and environmental leaders. Heyman previously served as Executive Director of Craigslist Foundation (2004–2008) and created its Nonprofit Boot Camp, which he grew into the largest social impact gathering in San Francisco Bay Area history after only one year.

A well-known social impact thought leader, Heyman served as editor-in-chief of the popular online magazine for nonprofits Blue Avocado (blueavocado.org). His best-selling book, Nonprofit Management 101 (2nd ed.) has been hailed as the bible of nonprofit leadership, and his second book, Nonprofit Fundraising 101 (Wiley & Sons), the first truly comprehensive and practical guide to raising money for your cause, quickly reached best-seller status. 

Heyman co-founded the mobile startup, Sparrow (http://sparrowmobile.com), which partners with nonprofits serving the poor, as well as Social Media for Nonprofits, the world’s only conference series devoted to social media for social good.

He has advised the United Nations and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and was appointed as a Commissioner for the Environment by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, where he helped pass the largest solar rebate program in the country. Heyman started his career by co-founding the digital advertising agency Beyond Interactive, which peaked at almost 400 employees in over 20 countries after its acquisition

Praveen Jose

Praveen comes with 12 years’ experience in the digital and tech businesses. He has built a successful career in digital and healthcare tech with industry majors like GE Healthcare, IBM, QBurst Technologies including voluntary partnerships to develop innovative solutions like CoronaSafe in times of the pandemic.

He has a bachelor’s degree in technology (Computer Science) from Kerala University and in addition, to underline his passion for creative problem solving and digital marketing, gained an executive full-time PGD in digital media communication from SACAC, New Delhi.

Richa Agrawal

Richa is an experienced Digital Media Marketing executive with over 15 years in the business. Starting her career with Google, over the years she has worked across different roles in Digital Media; strategy, buying, & optimization, across a diverse set of publishers, clients, and agencies.  

In her current role at Digital Venture, she leads the implementation and optimization of the programmatic media buying for the organization, across the UAE market.

Richa has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and an MBA.

He comes with 14 years of general management experience, covering content, media, and brand solutions.
